Enable Sweep AI Support

To control access to Sweep User Support Agent in Salesforce, assign the Enable Sweep AI Support custom permission using either a Permission Set or a Profile.

Here’s when to use each, and how to assign the permission.

Note: Make sure Sweep__Sweep_External_Credential is granted to the user as well.

When to Use Permission Sets vs. Profiles:

  • Use Permission Sets to give additional access to specific users without modifying their Profiles.

  • Use Profiles for access that applies to a large group of users by default.

Option 1: Assign the Custom Permission to a Permission Set:

  • Go to Setup → Search for and click Permission Sets.

  • Open the Permission Set where you want to add the Custom Permission.

  • In the Permission Set, scroll down to the Custom Permissions section.

  • Click Edit.

  • Select Enable Sweep AI Support.

  • Click Save.

Option 2: Assign the Custom Permission to a Profile:

  • Go to Setup → Search for and click Profiles.

  • Open the Profile where you want to add the Custom Permission.

  • Scroll to the Custom Permissions section (usually in the System Permissions area).

  • Click Edit.

  • Select Enable Sweep AI Support.

  • Click Save.
