Reconnecting a Sweep Org

Sandbox Refresh or Changing a Connected User

Occasionally a Salesforce org will have its connection to Sweep disconnected — usually from a Sandbox refresh. Additionally, if the connected user is removed or deactivated in Salesforce, the Sweep UI will stop working and the connection will need to be re-assigned to an active user.

See the below steps to reestablish or reassign the connection between Sweep and your org.

  1. Log In to Sweep

  2. Click the environment selector on the top right hand side of your window

  3. Click Manage Environments

  4. Locate the relevant environment and click Reconnect — there are two ways to do this depending on your scenario:

    1. Disconnected - if the Status column (located between the Type and Connected User columns) shows Disconnected, Sweep has lost its connection to that Salesforce org and can no longer read or write data.

      1. A Reconnect button will appear directly on that row — click it to re-establish the connection.

    2. Change Connected User: if the current connected user has been removed or deactivated, you'll need to reassign the connection to an active user.

      1. Click the three dots (⋯) next to the relevant environment and click Reconnect

  5. A pop-up window will appear — sign in with the Salesforce credentials of the user you want to set as the connected user.

  6. A Sweep loading screen will briefly appear:

then close automatically. It will return you to the Sweep Environments page.

  7. The connection is now re-established and the Connected User column will update to reflect the user who completed the reconnection.
