Sweep + Microsoft Teams lets you send real-time Salesforce alerts directly into Teams - so reps can stay focused and act fast.

Follow these steps to set it up correctly.

1. Make sure your Salesforce Production org is connected

Before setting up the Teams integration, your Salesforce Production environment must be connected to Sweep.

  • Go to the top navigation bar in Sweep.

  • Click the environment dropdown and confirm Production is connected.

  • If not, click Connect Environment and follow the Salesforce authentication steps.

2. Go to the Integrations tab

  • Click your avatar in the top-right corner of Sweep.

  • Select Integrations from the dropdown.

  • Locate the Microsoft Teams integration.

3. Check if you have permission to install the Teams app

  • If you are not a Microsoft 365 admin, you may see a message asking for admin approval.

  • In that case, copy the approval link and send it to your IT team or Microsoft admin.

  • Once approved, return to Sweep and proceed with setup.

4. Connect your Microsoft Teams account

  • Click Connect Microsoft Teams in the integration section.

  • Follow the Microsoft login flow.

  • Approve the requested permissions for Sweep to send messages and access Teams metadata.

  • Make sure the Sweep app is installed in your Teams tenant.

5. Create your first alert

  • Go to the Alerts section in Sweep.

  • Click New Alert and define your trigger logic (e.g., Opportunity in Proposal for 90 days).

  • Select Post to Teams as the action.

  • Choose the user(s) or channel(s) to send the alert to.

  • Customize the message and click Deploy to Production.

Two additional important notes:

  1. Make sure your Microsoft settings are configured so that the custom app is installed for all users.

  2. In Teams, if you want to send messages to a specific user, they need to add the Sweep app from the Apps section. Each user must do this individually in order to receive messages.

✅ You’re all set

Sweep will now start sending Salesforce alerts to Microsoft Teams, based on the rules you’ve defined.
