Using the Sweep MCP Server

This guide shows you how to connect Claude AI to your Sweep Agentic Layer using the Sweep MCP Server.

Prerequisites

  • Sweep account with Agentic Layer enabled

  • Claude Max, Team, or Enterprise plan

  • Admin access if using Team or Enterprise plans

Setting it up in Claude.ai

  1. Go to Claude settings - https://claude.ai/settings/profile.

  2. If you're on a Team plan, ask your admin to visit Claude integrations from https://claude.ai/settings/integrations.

  3. In the Connectors section, click Add More.

  4. Add the Sweep MCP server:

    1. Name: Sweep

    2. Server URL: https://sweepmcp.com/sse

    3. Click Add.

In Claude, start a new chat and click Connect under the Search and Tools menu

Authorize Claude to access the Sweep MCP Server with your Sweep account.

Once the Sweep MCP server is connected, a new chat interface will appear. Make sure the Sweep MCP server displays the number of tools Claude can access.

Once connected, Claude can act as a powerful interface between you and your Salesforce org, helping you explore and manage your setup more intelligently. Here are a few practical ways to use it:

Ask about your Salesforce configuration

  • “What automation updates the Opportunity Stage field?”

  • “Which flows are triggered when a lead is converted?”

  • “Show me all the validation rules active on the Lead object.”

Understand process and system dependencies

  • “If I deactivate the Assign MQL flow, what else will be affected?”

  • “What triggers are involved when a Case is created via web form?”

Generate documentation and visuals

  • “Can you generate a diagram of our lead lifecycle automation?”

  • “Summarize the logic behind our opportunity scoring model.”

Spot opportunities for cleanup and optimization

  • “What fields are rarely populated on closed-won opportunities?”

  • “Which reports haven’t been viewed in the last year?”

  • “List unused custom fields on the Account object.”

Compare environments (if using multiple orgs via Sweep)

  • “What’s different between sandbox and production in Lead Page Layouts?”

  • “Show me metadata changes made since the last deployment.”

By connecting Sweep to Claude, you're equipping your team with a conversational, AI-powered Salesforce analyst and architect. Whether you're trying to understand performance trends, prepare for a cleanup project or onboard a new admin, you can now do it faster and more confidently, just by asking.
