To tag a user in a Slack message in Sweep, there are 2 options:

  1. Option A: Dynamic Field

  2. Option B: Specific user

Option A: Dynamic Field

Follow this video or the below message:

In order to tag a user, you simply click insert dynamic field, and use the ID of any lookup to the user object in Sweep.

Assuming that the user has the same email address in Slack and in Salesforce, this will automatically tag the Slack user in the message.

Option B: Specific User

  1. Open the Post to Slack action in your Sweep automation.

  2. Navigate to the message field.

  3. Type @ followed by the user’s email username only (without the domain).
